We hold your email address, a confirmation from PayPal that the payment happened, and a note of when the file was downloaded. That is the whole list.
Last updated 10 October 2026
Three things, kept for plain reasons: the email address you bought with, a payment confirmation from PayPal, and a record of your download.
Your card details never reach us — PayPal handles the money. Nothing is sold, rented or shared beyond what it takes to get you the file, and this site runs no analytics and sets no cookies.
Your email address
PayPal passes us the email address on your account when you check out. We use it for three things: sending the download link, sending the receipt, and replying if you write to us.
We do not add you to a mailing list because you bought a book. If a newsletter ever exists you will have to ask for it, and you will be able to leave in one click.
The payment
PayPal tells us that a payment of $7.99 succeeded, gives us a transaction reference, and tells us which country it came from. That is everything we get.
We never see your card number, your bank details or your PayPal password, and we have no way to charge you a second time. PayPal is the party handling the payment, under its own privacy terms.
The download record
When the file is fetched, our server notes the time, the IP address that asked for it, and which version of the file went out.
That exists for two reasons, both dull. The first is proof of delivery: if a payment is questioned weeks later, this record is how we show the book actually arrived. The second is fraud — one link being pulled two hundred times from forty countries is a link that has been passed around, and we would like to be able to see that happening.
Emails you send us
If you write to us about an order, we keep the thread while we sort it out and for a while after, so that a second message about the same problem still makes sense.
How long things are kept
- Order and payment record
- As long as tax and accounting rules require, which in most places is around seven years.
- Download log
- About twelve months, then deleted. Long enough to outlast any dispute window.
- Support emails
- About twenty-four months.
- Anything else
- There is nothing else. We do not build a profile of you.
Who else sees it
Only the parties delivery needs: PayPal to take the payment, an email provider to carry the message, and a host to serve the file. Each one sees the piece it needs and no more.
Nothing is sold, rented, swapped or handed to an advertiser. The one other case would be a lawful request we are obliged to answer, such as a court order.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers. Nothing follows you off the site.
Two honest footnotes. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch them. And our host keeps ordinary server access logs, as every web server does.
If analytics are ever added, they will be named here: .
Nothing about what you read
This book is read privately and we have no way of knowing anything about how you read it. There is nothing in the file that reports back — no tracking inside the PDF, no record of which part you opened, and nothing written down anywhere about your situation. What you write in a notebook stays in your notebook.
What you can ask for
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to Harshriddles@gmail.com from the address you bought with and we will answer within thirty days.
There is one limit, and it is the only one: a bare record of the sale — date, amount, reference — may have to stay in the accounts, because tax law says so. Everything else goes.
If you would rather start with a regulator, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Keeping it safe
Download links are short-lived and tied to the order. The small number of records we do hold sit behind accounts with strong passwords and two-factor login, and only the people running the shop can reach them. No system is perfect; we keep the pile small so that there is little to lose.
Children
This book is for adults and the shop is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you think we have, tell us and it will be deleted.
Changes, and where to write
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions go to Harshriddles@gmail.com. The law of India applies here, as it does to the terms.
